The role of being a compassionate earth stewards on this land is something with a deep history. Well before we arrived, many others have tended to its needs, living in deep relationship with the systems that animate this place. But the history of this land also includes forced labor and exploitation. It includes the destruction of ecosystems and extraction of value at the expense of those whose lives depend on a healthy relationships with the land.
The Monument to Earth Workers honors all those who have or will live in relationship to this land. Aligned with International Workers' Day, the ceremony will honor all workers.
The exploitation of our community can only end when we organize and align ourselves with living systems. We invite you to share in a mindful moment of learning, reflection, and celebration.
